Dr Vanessa Perotti is a neurosurgeon with interests in all aspects of neurosurgery including brain, spine conditions and peripheral nerve disorders.
She takes a personalised evidence based approach with all of her patients.
Dr Vanessa graduated from the University of Sydney and completed neurosurgical training at John Hunter, Liverpool, St George, Royal North Shore and Macquarie University Hospitals. She also completed training overseas in Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand, and an observer-ship at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, in New York, USA.
In 2017, Vanessa completed her training and was an awarded her Fellowship at the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Post Fellowship, Vanessa completed further training in the Northern Territory in neurological trauma and rural and remote surgery, followed by further training in South Australia where she was awarded a Spinal Fellowship from Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide.

Dr Vanessa has partnered with local physiotherapists, pain and rehabilitation specialists to provide an evidence based, comprehensive model of care.
Dr Vanessa has an interest in teaching and research, having completed a Master of Health Law at Sydney University in 2014, with a particular interest in quality and safety in healthcare. She has completed research and published with the Clinical Excellence Commission in NSW, worked for major medical defense organisations, critical incident committees and holds qualifications in negotiation and mediation.
Vanessa is a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, Medical-Legal Society of NSW, and the medical legal section of the Royal Australia College of Surgeons. Vanessa currently provides Medico-Legal services with MLCOA. She is currently serving on the sub-committee for the SET training board Neurosurgery.
